About the Event

Come have the time of your life and experience the magic of one of our communities’ greatest assets during our 2021 Road to Restoration Kickoff. Join us at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts on Friday, April 30, at 7 PM for a kickoff celebration and film screening of the classic 1987 coming-of-age romance, Dirty Dancing

The building on the corner of Nottawa and West Street is more than just four walls and a stage, it is a chalice of memories and experiences that shape and enrich our lives and a much-needed beacon of hope in trying times such as these. Anyone who has spent time at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts has fond memories of the shows they’ve experienced in the main auditorium or the time they performed on the stage, whether in the band, a show, or a dance performance. They have felt pride at seeing their child’s artwork hanging in the lobby or felt the joy of watching their son or daughter celebrate their wedding reception in the grand ballroom.

For over 65 years, the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts has enhanced the quality of life for residents and visitors to Sturgis and St. Joseph County. With your support, our mission of providing a safe, inclusive, and modern space for great artistic, cultural, and community events will continue to inspire and create memorable experiences for years to come.
