The Ralph and Marie McCarthy Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 2003, the Ralph and Marie McCarthy Memorial Scholarship Fund distributes annual scholarship(s) to a graduating senior at Sturgis High School who will attend a two or four-year college or university. This scholarship fund intends to reward graduates who have demonstrated excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, and volunteerism.

Ralph and Marie McCarthy believed in the importance of always doing your best, no matter what you attempted: you did not have to be the best, just have done your best.

The McCarthys supported and encouraged participation beyond the classroom through sports, student government, or other student organizations. They believed in a person developing and sharing the talents with which they were blessed by giving back through willing participation and volunteerism to make their school and community a better place to live.

Graduating seniors and current college students who graduated from high schools in St. Joseph County, Michigan, can apply for this and over 40 other scholarships with just one application by visiting:https://www.sturgisfoundation.org/scholarships.
